You can see what is mentioned in the following article, in our Youtube video for the Canary Islands (Lanzarote).
It is a family business, with very friendly and polite staff while at the same time they have full knowledge of the history of the island and its attractions. The transition to the various points of interest is done with a brand new spacious mini-van, strictly with a few participants, while the tour is done in English by a female guide who has lived on the island for over 30 years!
So as soon as we arrived they were waiting for us with a big smile and they were eager to show us as much as they can!
Timanfaya National Park - Mountain of Fire - El Diablo Restaurant
Our first stop was at Timanfaya National Park and the famous Mountain of Fire. In this particular place, the temperature in the subsoil is very high causing (as part of the demonstration) the launch of a jet of water when we pour cold water into specific holes that have been drilled there.
This very high subsoil temperature is used by the restaurant “El Diablo”which is located there, built on a crater, in order to bake! the meat and not only, that it serves to its customers!
Route of the Volcanoes
Our next stop included a visit to a local winery to see and taste the special wines that the island has to offer. The volcanic soil gives the wine a very special and intense taste (like smoked) that makes it unique. We personally liked it very much. The vineyards on the island are placed in pits while surrounded by stones in order to protect themselves from the very strong winds that exist almost permanently.
Green Lagoon (El Charco de los Clicos)
Our next stop was the famous green lagoon. It is a volcanic crater, a green lagoon and a black beach which together compose, once again, something you don't see very often and it's definitely unique!
After we left the green Lagoon, we had a stop on our way for anyone who wanted to take a camel ride in the volcanic soil. However, both we and the rest of the group due to animal-friendly feelings did not participate in this activity. Nevertheless, there is the ability for anyone who wants to try it.
The last stop of our tour was in Los Hervideros (Boiled Water), an area where natural "balconies" have been created on rocks formed by lava, while at the same time there is a wonderful route to follow fooling around with the abundance of craters and soil anatomy. Another "wild" landscape that you can hardly erase from your memories. For your information there are on the island over 100 volcanoes and 300 craters!
At the end of the day, we had full of images and new experiences while at the same time we were completely satisfied (as well as many other travelers σύμφωνα με το tripadvisor) from the Lanzarote Experience Tours and the whole organization - information it provided so we highly recommend them.
In case you are planning a trip to the Canary Islands, do not hesitate to contact us for more information or directly with Lanzarote Experience Tours to organize your own tour.
